Just after cycling my tank, in August 2021, my temperatures were sky high. I reeeeeeaaaaallllyyyyyy wanted to add some life in though!
After bargaining with myself with “heavy duty” corals and fish I decided to a more prodent course. I am adding micro life. Phytoplankton, Copepods, and Artemia.

Well, I did not buy the reactor, too big and too rich for my tastes. I got 2 bottles of Pepsi 1.5 lt and used the specialised 2 hole cap. one to take in air and lead it to the airstone and the other to push air to the next bottle. (in this system I also had the Artemia).
I have two 50cm grow led strips on a 24/hour operation and waiting for results.
Starting up with this I was worried that the culture was not going to star because the PhytoStart was almost a clear color, but then I saw this was normal. I added 10ml of each, Phytostart and phytofood.
I think this is about right. 2 days later I can see no green stuff… but I am stubbornly pretending to be patient. 🙂
